Newfoundland Somme Tour

Visit the sites associated with Newfoundland courage and sacrifice on the Somme in 1916. The most infamous attack on the Germans at Beaumont-Hamel July 1916 and walk the preserved trenches at the Newfoundland Memorial Park now managed by the Canadian government.

We will discuss the aspects leading up to the darkest day of the Newfoundland regiment and visit the memorial to the missing paying tribute to the sets of brothers lost in action.

Visit the 5 Caribou sites of the Newfoundland regiment and understand the actions on those battlegrounds. We will visit and pay respects at the main memorials and discuss actions across the battleground and profile many Newfoundland soldiers at the graveside.
